Volunteer Advisors, Speakers, Tours
Volunteer Advisors
Each “company” is assigned a volunteer business advisor to be with the company every step of the way. The advisors are not teachers or company leaders, they act more as a guidance officer, lending business expertise as needed.
Speakers
Each program will feature outside speakers from myriad industries, along with the Business World staff speakers. Past programs have offered sessions from CEOs and presidents, company human resource directors, and college deans to name a few. The Business World staff produces many of the assemblies throughout the program, on topics such as generational differences, and the real world of marketing.
Tours
Not only will your students learn while they are meeting with their company and listening to the experts, they will also take a tour of a local company. It could be a manufacturer, an office building, a service provider, a logistics firm, or any other industry. Because some of these companies are manufacturing plants, and some are offices, the Business World program asks that your student remember to pack closed-toe shoes along with long pants and long-sleeved shirts.
